Profits depend on your markup and the marketplace. We offer suggested retail prices on all products.

After the buyer has paid you (RETAIL PRICE + SHIPPING COST), log in to your Smith Distributors wholesale account and pay the product at wholesale price + SHIPPING COST). Any money you receive above that cost is your 25% or 35% OFF Discount profit. You also save time by managing orders from different suppliers all in one place.

Did you realize that Amazon generally charges a 15% fee for your TOTAL sale? Your total sale includes your shipping charge to the customer. We include the shipping charge in your selling price automatically. So make sure your markup is more than 15%. But you still need to create a Shipping Template on Amazon that gives free shipping to your customers.

1) Your Profit is 25% OFF or 35% OFF Discount Profit Margins. (Without Amazon's Fee)

(A) $226.19 minus Wholesale Pay $169.64 (included shipping fee). Your profit would be 25% OFF Discount: $56.55

(B) $226.19 minus Wholesale Pay $147.02 (included shipping fee). Your profit would be 35% OFF Discount: $79.17


2) Their Profit Amazon Fees is 15% take your profit off. (With Amazon's Fee)

Here is an example of cost:

Wishing Well Water Fountain Retail Price $199.95 + Fixed Shipping $26.24 (Weight: 18 Lbs) Total: $226.19 to sell.

(A) Their (Amazon's Fee) profit would be 15% Fees: $33.93, Left you a profit $192.26 (included shipping fee)

(B) $192.26 minus Wholesale Pay $169.64 (included shipping fee). Your Profit would be 25% OFF Discount: $22.62.

(C) $192.26 minus Wholesale Pay $147.02 (included shipping fee) Your profit would be 35% OFF Discount: $45.24.

However, on this platform, you’re often competing with sellers who mark down their products to unreachable depths, such as direct manufacturers or sellers from international regions.

Because Amazon is focused on the product with the cheapest price, it’s hard to make much of a profit margin dropshipping items here.

Amazon restricts dropshippers to selling through their Fulfillment By Amazon program (FBA) and prohibits shipping products with packing slips or information other than your own.


To eBay Seller -

Because eBay is focused on the product with the cheapest price, it’s hard to make much of a profit margin dropshipping items here.
