Shipping & Returns

Returns Policy:

1. Items can be returned within 30 days from the date of purchase.

2. To qualify for a return, your item must be unused and in its original condition.

3. The item must be returned in its original packaging.

4. please get in touch with us prior to returning the item to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA).

Refunds:

1. Upon receiving your returned item, we will conduct an inspection and inform you of its receipt.

2. Following the inspection, we will promptly notify you regarding the status of your refund.

3. If your return is approved, a refund will be initiated to your credit or the original method of payment.

4. All returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee.

Return Shipping:

You may return new, unopened within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. If return is due to our error (such receiving incorrect or defective), we will cover the return shipping costs.

Refunds are typically within four weeks of handing your package to the return shipper. This period includes the transit time for us to receive your return (5 to 10 business days), the time required to process your return upon receipt (3 to 5 business days), and the time for your bank finalize the refund (5 to 10 business). In many cases, refunds are issued more quickly.

You are responsible for covering the shipping costs for returning your product. We recommend using a traceable carrier such as USPS Priority, FedEx, or UPS. Please note that shipping costs are non-refundable.

To return an item, log in to your account, locate the order under the "Complete Orders" link in the My Account menu, and click the Return Item(s) button. You will receive an email notification once we have received and processed your returned item.

Shipping Policy:

1. SMITH DISTRIBUTORS provides shipping rates or rates calculated at checkout (including) for the Continental United States via UPS Ground Service, FedEx, and USPS.

2. International Orders - Please read carefully before placing your order (CLICK FOR MORE INFORMATION).

3. Most are shipped within 24 hours.

4. Once your order is shipped, we will send you the tracking information.

Our advice to you: SMITH DISTRIBUTORS will drop ship name-brand products and more directly to your customers. If you ship an item to an address other than your registration address, it will automatically ship as a blind shipment, meaning no paperwork will show what was paid, and our company name will not be on or with the package. No pricing information will be listed on the packing slip.

 

6. Our Sales Rules:

 

Sales Tax Rules - As a seller, you are required to calculate and charge the applicable state, county, city, other local sales tax rates based on your buyer's location. Always adhere to sales tax laws and regulations the state where buyer resides. Never charge a customer sales tax for another state.

 

Determine whether you need to collect an additional state sales tax for the state where your supplier is located. While not many states have such requirements, it is a state where this applies. For instance, if a customer places an order on your site resides, and purchases from a Michigan supplier, you must charge Michigan state sales tax since the customer and the supplier are in the same state. If there are additional tax rates you need to apply to suppliers, ensure you know the rate and conditions under which they are applied.

 

Typically, you must collect sales tax on shipments to customers residing in the same state as you. Please consult your state tax board to verify if you are required to collect sales tax based on the type of sales activity you conduct. In Michigan, the state sales tax rate is 6%.

Shipping:

Shipping to the Continental United States offers shipping to the United States, excluding Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, Virgin Islands, and Military APO/FPO for most product lines, though not all.

Important UPS Shipping Information -

Orders under 10 pounds are shipped via UPS SurePost and by the United States Postal Service. UPS SurePost shipments include Saturday delivery; however, please allow additional for tendering to the Post Office.

UPS requires a physical address and does not deliver to P.O. boxes. A signature may be required upon delivery.

UPS does account for the pickup day, weekends, or holidays when calculating transit time. Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed. Additional time may be required during holiday seasons.

Please note that deliveries to the Eastern States may take up to 7 business days. If you have not received your order within this timeframe, please contact us and include your order number for prompt assistance.

UPS Delivery Tracking -

Please allow up to two business days receive your tracking number. An automated shipping confirmation will be sent to you once your number available. Kindly note that while your tracking number will be valid, it may take a few additional days for your package to in the UPS system.

Is insurance included?

Yes, insurance is typically included in the shipping for electronic items sent via UPS Mail Innovations or FedEx SmartPost.

Shipping costs differ depending on the product line. Orders are shipped through UPS, FedEx, or USPS. Certain product lines utilize actual carrier rates, while others apply flat-rate shipping. Free shipping applies to items labeled as such. Most with shipping will display "Calculated at Checkout" as free shipping.

Flat rate shipping is determined by the weight of your order. Options include UPS Mail Innovations (up to 1 lb), FedEx SmartPost (up to 9 lbs), and FedEx Standard (FedEx Home or Ground, up to lbs). Shipping costs for each item must be added according to the weight-based rate.

The item details page and inventory feeds provide the cost option, but all shipping prices and options can be viewed by adding the item to the shopping cart.

To determine the shipping cost for an item, add it to your shopping cart. The cart will automatically calculate the accurate shipping cost, and the item can then be removed if needed.

Shipping charges for each item are shown on the item details page or can be calculated in the cart. The recipient's zip code may be required.

Shipping Canada is not available. FedEx SmartPost and UPS Mail Innovations are not insured. Items shipped via FedEx Standard and FedEx Express are insured up to $100.00.

How long does shipping take?

• For UPS Ground, please allow 7-10 days.
• For FedEx, please allow 7-14 business.
• Most orders shipped within 1-2 business days, and the above times are estimates from the day your order is placed.

When an order is, delivery be estimated based on availability of the items and the chosen shipping options. Depending the selected shipping provider estimated dates may appear on the shipping quotes.

Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page To reflect policies of the shipping companies we, all weights will be rounded to the next full pound.

FREE SHIPPING: you wish to order more than one item, SMITH DISTRIBUTORS offers FREE SHIPPING to encourage buyers include additional items in their purchases. Discounts can be applied to the FREE SHIPPING when a buyer purchases multiple items, and carrier-specific discounts can offered. We encourage you to increase sales and profits while also saving on shipping costs.
